Good start to your paper. Please take a look at grammatical errors and APA format. Understanding this is a working draft, take a closer look at all you wrote and make adjustments where needed. Sometimes it helps me if I print out what I have written and go through it with an old fashion red pen :)
You can also enhance your storify utilizing hyperlinks to resources, throughout your paper. This is nice feature of storify and translates well to blogger for readers.
In activities I would talk about all platforms that you have used as well. In analysis you should use Flicker to upload your screenshots, but be sure to add substantial context in addition to those screen shots. Talk about your increase in stats over the weeks and highlight the positives and the areas for improvement.
I look forward to seeing the substance added to your paper. Great outline and you have really mapped out what you want to do! -Becky
Great outline so far! I think the Flickr images of your Blogger Stats will definitely help readers to visualize during your analysis discussion. I would expand on what worked and what didn’t work in each post in your conclusion. You mentioned a few points with incorporating Twitter and moving away from using Kindle to post but it would be helpful to mention any keywords that you used or hashtags that may have helped drive traffic to your blog. Anything that may have differentiated a post that did well versus one that did not do as well.
Also, for your objectives, did you have any other than 15 pageviews per week? Did you have any goals for number of followers, comments, etc.? That may help to make your objectives and analysis sections more robust.
Hi Courtney, I enjoyed reading your Storify. The choice of visuals is great and kept the blog vibrant. Here are a couple of suggestions to help make it better:
-As Becky pointed out be careful with the spelling errors specially on the headers. I am taking notes of this one myself. I have a few to correct.
- For the concluding I recommend adding a connection between what you learned in class and your professional life. How this class helped you in your career. Or how you hope it will help.
-Under Analysis. I took the screen shots. Saved them to Flickr and then added them into the Storify. That was the best was I found to add images.
Overall I think you did a great job! Best Regards, Ana
Hi Courtney, Great job on your recap! I've enjoyed following your blog throughout the course. You've done a great job incorporating the different platforms, and how to drive traffic to your blog. I like your key-takeaways, very insightful and to the point. Is there anyway to relate them back to any of the readings or podcasts? I am going to try to do that in mine as well. I agree with Meagan, could be great to expand on your objectives, like any goals with Twitter or Pinterest. You allude to some throughout your paper, perhaps you can just summarize or bullet point in the objectives section. Overall, great job! Sabrina
Your post at the beginning of the storify that had the purpose section under it was great. I liked that you went out of your way to provide context for the people who are commenting. Your use of images was also very good. In particular the week 3 post with the clock image caught my eye. I like that you put in the conclusion what you learned and I look forward to seeing the rest of the analysis section. How did you feel about how you did meeting your goals week to week?
